The sport of padel is the fastest growing sport in the world and therefore, we are looking for a driven Senior Accountant to further strengthen the accounting function in Denmark.
We Are Padel Denmark is part of the world's largest Padel group LeDap group. With the ambition to make the sport of padel available to all, we strive to each day give our padel players a premium experience. Today We Are Padel Denmark operates 15 padel clubs across Denmark. This is an opportunity to join the company at an early stage and participate to develop a well-functioning accounting structure.
You'll be reporting to the CFO with dotted lines to the Country Manager of Denmark. You will have overall responsibility for our Danish entities to ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual closings in close collaboration with Group Finance:
In a nutshell, your areas of responsibility will be the following:
- Set up the reporting and financial accounting frameworks together with accounting team to ensure accuracy and control of reported numbers
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing and reporting, including preparation of annual financial reports to internal and external stakeholders
- Report and prepare VAT and tax calculations
- Support business with financial data
- Provide Group Accounting with financials at month end close in Cognos controller (controlling system)
- Manage and thrive handling numerous of ad hoc projects
Working in a scale-up, you’ll have the opportunity to get involved in a broad range of projects. We hope you’ll see this as an opportunity to also learn and develop. For instance, will this role be tasked with supporting a legal simplification exercise of our current businesses in Denmark.
On a day-to-day basis, you’ll be working closely with the Country Manager of Denmark and our Club Managers on all financial matters. Further you’ll become part of our internal LeDap group finance department, consisting of Accountants and Finance Managers.
To become successful in the role, we expect that you:
- Hold an academic degree within a relevant field of study such as Business Administration, Accounting or similar, maybe with a passion for the sport of padel
- Have previous experience from working in an international matrix organisation
- Have at least +5 years of experience in accounting
- Preferably have knowledge of reporting in Cognos controller
- Are an advanced user of Excel.
- Are fluent in written and spoken English.
- Have a growth mindset and thrive learning new areas
